Our Doctor

Jennifer M. Moss, MD
Dr. Moss reports that she has wanted to be a physician and specifically an obstetrician/gynecologist for as long as she can remember. She remembers having the dream of being a physician since the age of 12 (although her father says it was closer to age 6). After growing up in the state of Alabama, her family relocated to Dallas when she was in high school. She went to the University of Texas at Austin where she was a proud member of the Longhorn Band and received a Bachelor of Arts in Biology. She then attended the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston where she was awarded a Medical Doctor degree. She completed an internship at John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth and finished her residency at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center at the Permian Basin in Odessa. She is Board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. She worked for the TTUHSC as an Associate Professor where she supervised residents in training with their clinical duties. She also had a private practice there for several years. She met her husband and relocated to San Angelo where she has opened a private practice. Although this is the first time for her to call San Angelo home, she claims a long connection with the town. Her grandparents, Judge Earl and Mozelle Smith were long time residents. They raised three children who all attended San Angelo Central High School. She fondly remembers spending summers here and so has stated that moving here is coming back home. She considers herself to be a generalist obstetrician/gynecologist and enjoys all aspects of this unique specialty including prenatal care, contraception counseling and management, hormonal management of menopause, and treatment of abnormal bleeding both medical and surgical. Her greatest joy is the time she spends educating and talking with patients.
